Mr. Bev is a man that seemingly has everything. He is rich, popular, and everyone who is anyone knows exactly who he is and what he has. But the one thing that he has found he can't buy but is definitely the one thing that he wants most which is true love. The scene opens with a dinner party and ends with him finding a note inviting him to a secret auction. Upon arrival he realizes that the potential is there for him to purchase anything that he desires. As a man who wants to have everything, he is excited. When a golden coffee pot is up for auction, he is encouraged by a new friend to purchase it. After winning the coffee pot he goes home and wakes up the next morning not remembering anything that happened the night before, including what NOT to do with the coffee pot- drink from it. But in his memory loss he wakes and cuddled next to him is the coffee pot. He decides there can be no better coffee than that out of a golden pot and so he drinks from it, starting a chain of events that begins with the arrival of the Genie who grants him 3 wishes. And his quest for true love literally in a flash takes off. Genie introduces him to a different kind of dating game introducing him to different bachelorettes. One is a little crazy for cats, one a little crazy with kids, but like all good fairy tales, in his tasks he also grows and had some realizations figuring out that one seems just right. A story that encourages us to never give up on the possibility of love because we never know when it is going to come or how it will be introduced to us.

  • (In the midst of a snazzy rich folks’ dinner party applause begin as the host MR. BEV, ageless, fabulous, and he’s rich, he’s more rich, he’s the richest makes his way to the podium champagne class in hand.)

Mr. Bev: (with an arrogant smile) Thank you, thank you, oh stop it. NO! Keep going I deserve all the accolades, applause and love one group of people who adore me can give. (laughs) I joke, but not really but kind of. (Laughs again. He sips his wine, awkwardly looking for someone to talk to. He approaches someone but pauses.)

Man: (mockingly) “Oh Mr. Bev the great is here. Bows and blows kisses and blah blah blah. Boring. I wouldn’t come to these parties if I didn’t love the appetizers. (Boom! He turns around right into Mr. Bev) Oh, oh goodness I didn’t see you standing there. (nervous) I – umm- so this one time- (weird laugh) yep that’s me-

Mr. Bev: (laughs) It’s okay you’re not the first to make fun of me and then, oh how shall we call it? Lie right after! It’s funny. (he laughs, then he put his arm around him) Be my friend for a moment.

Man: Done, anything to shift this moment away from me.

Mr. Bev: (scanning the room) Look at all of the women in this room. Wall to wall women who all think of me the way you do except they mean it. Do you follow Mr. Ummm (looks to Man, doesn’t know his name) Oh- Fella Mr. Um (snaps as if he’s thinking about it) Welp. (Man laughs) I’m on a mission my friend. It is time. It is time for me to settle down and love someone. (he squeezes him, and stares him in the eyes) Do you see these eyes? These are the eyes of a man who is searching for his queen!

Man: Okay, I see what you’re going for. (he points in a few different options.)

Mr. Bev: All I want is love.

Man: This room is full of options. Go get em Tiger their-
